Qatar's champion Mutaz Essa Barshim wins his first gold medal for high jumping at the Tokyo 2020 with a jump of 2.37m bringing the total number of gold medals won by Qatar to two. Qatari weightlifter Fares Ibrahim Elbakh won the first gold medal for Qatar yesterday.
Mutaz Barshim shares the gold medal with Italy's G.Tamberi.
Mutaz had earlier won silver in the 2016 Rio Olympics and bronze at 2012 London Olympics.
