Qatar played its second Round match against Bahrain at the Gulf Cup at Al Minaa Olympic Stadium on 10 January 2023. Qatar scored the first goal of the match at 34 minutes after Ahmed Alaaeldin scored for Qatar.
It wasn't until after the 74th minute that Bahrain was able to get a score for Mohammed Waad's own goal. At 89 minutes, Bahrain was given a penalty kick and was scored by Bahrain's Abdullah Yusuf Helal.
The final match score was 2-1 in favour of Bahrain.

Qatar's next match for the Gulf Cup will be on Friday, 13 January at 6 pm against UAE.
