Aspire Zone has Organised a Number of Exciting Activities for the Local Community throughout the month of March

After the resounding success of Qatar National Sport Day 2015, Aspire Zone has organised a number of exciting events and activities throughout March for children of all ages, their families and the wider community, as part of its ongoing mission to engage the whole local community through activity. Aspire Zone remains dedicated to organising events that inspire people to get fit, stay active and live healthy, balanced lives.

Aspire Zone is hosting the fourth edition of Aspire Jam on March 14th from 3 PM to 8 PM for Qatar’s best street basketball players to showcase their fantastic skills and incredible and unique techniques. Basketball enthusiasts will play a three-on-three street basketball tournament as 16 teams will compete for the coveted title in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.

In addition, the final sessions for this seasons Kids Art in The Park will take place on Saturday, March 7th and on Saturday, March 21st from 11 AM to 1 PM. Aspire Zone’s Kids Art In The Park consists of a number of fun, educational and creative artistic activities that children can try under the art tent, at the Aspire Park behind the main playground.

In a bid to further engage all children in Qatar and to encourage them to bond with their peers, Aspire Zone has organised Kids Run The Park, a monthly activity where students run a specially designed 2.5 km course throughout the Aspire Zone grounds. There are two race categories: one for students aged from 10-15 years at 8 AM, while the other race is for stronger kids over 13 years and starts at 8:45 AM. The final race will be held on Saturday, March 7th and the children who participated in a minimum of three out of four races will be awarded on the day.

And to round out this month’s events and activities, Aspire Zone has announced that it will host the fourth edition of the Aspire Torch Staircase Run from March 27-28, 2015. This landmark event includes a two-day race programme with three heats comprising of different distances and competition modes. The first grueling route for all competitors will consist of 1,304 steps as runners will have to make their way to the top of the 300 metre Torch tower on the 51st floor. Also, this year’s event will also feature the inaugural Towerrunning World Championships 2015.
