Aspire Zone Foundation organises intensive training camp to prepare Paris Saint-Germain Handball Club for the new season

Aspire Zone Foundation recently welcomed back the hugely successful Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Handball Club for an intensive pre-season training camp.

The camp, which was held from July 27 to August 3, was organised across a number of Aspire Zone’s state-of-the-art facilities and comes ahead of the 2015 – 2016 season, which starts in September. The programme was especially designed to help the team prepare physically and mentally for the new season with daily practice combining work-outs, cardio and training sessions.

This is the third consecutive year that Aspire Zone Foundation has hosted PSG, building on the success of previous training camps. The Qatar-owned team is widely regarded as one of the world’s strongest handball teams, and is the top-ranking team in Division 1 of the French Ligue Nationale de Handball (LNH).

During their time at Aspire, the team also stayed at the Torch Hotel.

Commenting on the training camp, Mr. Hussain Al-Qahtani, Corporate Communications Manager at Aspire Zone Foundation said: “We are delighted to have hosted the PSG Handball Team for the third year in-a-row and to provide them with such a high-quality training camp ahead of their new season. The team’s return to Aspire Zone reflects our clear commitment to nurturing elite sporting talent through providing access to our world-class campus and facilities and our building on our established track record of enhancing athletic performance. We would like to wish PSG the best of luck for the 2015 – 2016 French league season.”

From his part, Daniel Narcisse captain of PSG said: “We are thrilled to be returning to Aspire to train for the third consecutive year. Our experience has once again been excellent. The state-of-the-art facilities are superb. Everything an athlete could need, from access to training grounds, accommodation and medical care is provided for, all in one place. Aspire Zone truly is an incredible sports destination, and it is a great pleasure to train here. We would like to thank Aspire Zone for hosting us again, and look forward to returning in the future”.
