Aspetar, the world’s leading specialised orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, is providing comprehensive medical support and services for the 2016 Qatar ExxonMobil Open. Taking place in Doha from January 4th – 9th, the championship features many of the world’s best-known tennis stars.

As a preferred destination for many international events and elite stars, Aspetar is providing comprehensive medical services during the championship to enable players to compete at their maximum potential.

Highly qualified Aspetar medical staff will be appointed on site throughout the tournament. These include three sports medicine experts,physiotherapists, massage therapists and podiatrists, as well as a specialist support team and a number of ambulances.

In addition to providing medical staff, Aspetar has also set up mobile clinics in three locations at the event to provide integrated medical services including consultancy and medical care. Aspetar will also provide on-call services for acute and chronic injuries throughout the Qatar ExxonMobil Open.

Maximizing support to the athletes, Aspetar will also provide medical services to officials, VIPs, spectators and championship staff. Agreements have been signed with other partners to provide unique medical services throughout the championship.

Aspetar will provide medical services for the 2016 Qatar ExxonMobil Open throughout all the stages of the competition. The hospital’s staff have already provided support during the training and warm up stages, and will continue to do so to the finals.

Many of the biggest names in sport are taking part in the 2016 Qatar ExxonMobil Open including current World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, World No. 5 Rafael Nadal, World No. 6 Tomas Berdych, titleholder David Ferrer and Fernando Verdasco.

Aspetar has been the official and exclusive medical provider for the Qatar ExxonMobil Open since 2011 as part of a long term partnership agreement signed with the Qatar Tennis Federation.
