Now that winter is upon us, it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and participate in some activities that will give you an adrenaline rush! What better way to get warm than to pump up your blood with some hardcore and extreme sports

We’ve listed a number of different activities that adrenaline junkies would love to partake in! Check out our list below!

Dune bashing

A thrilling experience, dune bashing involves riding in a SUV or a 4x4 and going on a roller coaster journey up and down sand dunes! It’s best to do this with experienced drivers who know how to drive on this particular terrain, as it’s quite a dangerous feat to perform. There are also a variety of tourism companies such as Qatar International Adventures and 365 Adventures who also provide dune bashing as part of different packages. It’s definitely a one of a kind experience!

Gliding, soaring through the sky with an aerial view of the desert and the dunes is sure to give you a rush! Paragliding is an exciting activity you can do at the dunes in Sealine, Qatar. It’s the most popular location for this particular sport, however a special permit is required in order to partake in paragliding. Find out more here.

Trampoline park

Bounce Inc. recently opened in Doha this year and it should definitely be on your list of places to check out! A park dedicated to trampolines and unleashing your inner child, now that sounds exhilarating! There’s something for everyone — no matter how old you are or how much of a professional athlete you are! There are even Adventure Challenge courses for wannabe ninja warriors; there’s slam dunk basketball, dodgeball competitions, a football pitch, zip-line, free-running areas, and a lot more!

Quad biking

This is a great activity for when you’re out at the desert! It’s super fun — even kids can do it (on their kiddy quads). Quad biking is like dune bashing, except your life is in your own hands. Of course, there are many experienced quad bike drivers who risk quad biking on steep dunes, but if you’re just a beginner it’s probably safer if you stick to the regular sandy terrain. Sealine has outlets where you can rent quads.

Are you daring enough to try skydiving? In Qatar, skydiving is more of a seasonal activity — it really depends on the weather conditions. The company that’s in charge of skydiving in Qatar is called Skydive Qatar — they offer professional instructors and provide customers with the requirements to be certified skydivers. You can sign up on their website and they will let you know when they are open to the public for the season.

Water activities

There are a lot of exciting water-related activities too! Scuba diving is super popular in Qatar. To be able to scuba dive, you’ll have to take lessons and obtain a certification. There are many centers around Doha that provide lessons and proper training to help you become a certified scuba diver. One of the more popular training facilities is Poseidon Dive Center. Other water sports and activities include jet skiing, parasailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, wake boarding, and even kite surfing!

Here are some websites that provide different water-related activities:

Club Blue Pearl:
365 Adventures:
Katara Beach:
