ACS Doha International School is pleased to announce an exclusive partnership with Coerver Coaching, an elite global football coaching programme that will run in Doha until 2016. It is part of ACS Doha’s commitment to providing excellent sports opportunities for students and enhancing the diverse range of extra-curricular activities that the school has to offer.

The partnership with Coerver Coaching has been incredibly popular with the ACS community, and there are now almost 100 students, between 5-16 years of age, participating in the programme. ACS Doha offers coaching for students at every level, from beginner through to advanced, with football enthusiasts attending intense training sessions twice a week.

Throughout the two year partnership, ACS Doha will hold the Coerver Coaching license, with complete access to their curriculum and unique methodologies, providing a world class standard of football coaching to ACS Doha students.

Chris Quinn, ACS Doha’s Athletic Coordinator and one of the coaches of the Coerver Coaching programme, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Coerver Coaching and Adidas. Coerver's unique method of skill development is regarded by many as one of the best approaches that can be adopted. Coerver Coaching have a very specific formula for achieving success and for developing confident and exciting players. One of Coerver's major core philosophies is to convey the message that "everyone can improve", educationally this is an important message that we support as a school.”

ACS Doha trained four members of its staff who are now fully equipped to roll out the Coerver programme across the State of Qatar. ACS Doha’s coaches travelled to Switzerland in August for specialised training and participated in further intensive onsite training in Doha at the beginning of this academic school year.

Steven Calland-Scoble, ACS Doha Head of School, said: “ACS Doha is committed to expanding the sporting programmes that we offer as they provide a fantastic learning opportunity for our students. We recognise that sports programmes help students learn team building and social skills, which, when combined with a personal commitment to individual success leads to better academic performance. I have no doubt that Coerver Coaching will also help our students to develop self-esteem, improve their confidence and find another reason to enjoy the ACS Doha experience.”
