Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros extended their title sponsorship of HH The Emir’s Sword Show Jumping Championship, which will be held from March 11 to 12 at the Qatar Equestrian Federation yesterday.

AAB Board Member Abdulghani Abdullah Abdulghani and QEF general secretary Khalid bin Safar al Hajri inked the sponsorship agreement at the QEF headquarters.

The highlight of the competition would be the presence of the Qatar Equestrian team that has qualified for Rio Olympic Games In 2016.

Abdulghani said after the signing ceremony, “HH the Emir Sword Show Jumping is a prominent and prestigious event for the Qatari riders and it’s our corporate-social responsibility to support such events. We’re proud of our relationship with the QEF, which is doing a great job of promoting our ancient sport.

“We’re pleased to be the lead sponsors for the event. We wish all the success to the organisers and we’re looking forward to extending our partnership with the federation for a long time to come,” added Abdulghani.

Hajri emphasised the event’s importance as it bears the name of the Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani. “HH the Emir Equestrian Sword Show Jumping is the most prestigious event on the QEF calendar. It continues to grow in stature and in value, thanks to the backing by sponsors, and we wish to extend our warmest feelings to them.

“Without their support, it’d have not been possible to raise the standard of the championship to where it is today.”

Hajri also said that the competition would have a great deal of quality and depth. “All the riders in Qatar would be competing for various titles and we expect the competition to be quite hard. The Qatari team riders, who qualified for the Rio Olympic Games, would also be contesting. So this event has got a lot of added value.

“Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros have been the trusted partners with us in the growth of the sport. We’re always grateful to them for their committed support,” added Hajri.
