In a Tweet, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced the opening of South Al Wakra Health Center from 6 September 2021.

As per PHCC:

  • In the first year, the HC's capacity will be 5,000 patients, then it will gradually increase to 10,000 registered patients.
  • The official working hours of the new South Al Wakra HC are between 7 am to 11 pm, Sunday to Thursday.
  • Patients can use PHCC's Nar'aakom mobile application to register in or transfer to the new South Al Wakra HC, where the services cover some of the neighborhoods of Zone 90 according to the national address.

Minister of Public Health has said that the plan to open new health centers seeks to meet the increasing needs of the public for primary health care services, taking into account the geographical distribution and population density of each area.
