Mowasalat (Karwa) initiated the general COVID-19 vaccination for its employees as part of the national campaign launched at the end of 2020. The campaign is part of the daily precautionary measures carried out by the company to fight the spread of the virus.

As such, the company prioritizes its frontline staff that currently shuttles arriving guests from the Hamad International Airport to the respective quarantine hotels. To protect the community, all other bus and taxi drivers will then also be vaccinated through the health care system, which is provided by Mowasalat (Karwa) in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Hamad Medical Corporation. The company ensures that all employees understand the importance of this vaccination to protect themselves, their families, and their passengers against COVID.

On this occasion, Mr. Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, Mowasalat (Karwa) CEO, said: “Mowasalat (Karwa) believes that one of the most important requirements of sustainable development is the existence of an efficient and safe transport system to contribute into the preservation of the safety of lives and property on the roads. Since its foundation, the company has been providing medical services through an integrated world-class medical center that serves Mowasalat's employees and the employees of other companies in the transportation sector. This step is part of the precautionary measures implemented by the company in collaboration with various authorities in the State to maintain the health of the community and fight the spread of this pandemic.”

On his part, Dr. Emad Bahloul – Director of the Mowasalat (Karwa) Medical Centre stressed: “Mowasalat (Karwa) puts the safety and wellbeing of its employees and Qatar’s community as a top priority. The care for our drivers includes a medical center with emergency facilities, isolation rooms, a pharmacy, first aid units, and professional medical staff. The Mowasalat Medical Center is accredited by the Ministry of Public Health.”
