The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced the launch of the national campaign for oral and dental health on Sunday in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corp and Primary Health Care Corp, under the slogan " My Smile is My Health".
The campaign, which will be launched via the official communication platforms of the Ministry of Public Health, aims to raise awareness on the importance of oral care and the positive behaviors towards the current oral and dental services in the community and enhance communication between dental services and prevention departments in various medical institutions, in addition to encouraging community groups of children, adolescents and adults to follow a healthy diet and reduce sugar in food and drinks.
During the campaign, educational publications on oral and dental health will be published on all the Ministry of Public Health social media platforms of and social platforms for health sector partners, in addition to providing free medical consultations by specialized dentists who will answer all questions that will be asked by the public on the ministry's website.
The campaign is part of the outcomes of the National Oral and Dental Health Committee, in which Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation, Police Hospital at the Ministry of Interior, government schools and Qatar Petroleum participate.
It is worth mentioning that the Primary Health Care Corporation, within the framework of the National Health Strategy / 2018-2022 / and under the umbrella of the National Oral and Dental Health Committee, and in cooperation with other health authorities in the country, implemented the National Oral and Dental Health Survey for children between the ages of 4 and 8 years. The survey was carried out by the Hamad Medical Corporation, the Police Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Qatar Petroleum, in cooperation with the University of Adelaide, Australia.
