The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has issued a circular to private health facilities in Qatar to suspend some non-emergency health services.

The circular included suspending of medical services in dental, dermatological and laser clinics, plastic surgery and surgeries, with the exception of emergency cases.

It also included suspending the services of diet and nutrition centers, physiotherapy clinics and complementary medicine (alternative) of all kinds.

The MoPH also issued a circular earlier obligating health facilities in the private sector to raise the level of preparedness and readiness to work with the MoPH if need arises.

This comes in light of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the MoPH to reduce the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure the safety of patients and medical personnel.
