The Ministry of Public Health has warned people against eating grapes originated from Peru, due to the possibility of its contamination with pesticide residues.
The ministry said there has been an international warning on the same. It also added that it is currently undertaking all required procedures to reduce any potential risks to the consumer and is coordinating with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to ensure that the markets do not sell these grapes, reported The Peninsula.
The ministry said, samples have been sent for laboratory analysis and notices have been dispatched to the State's ports to seize any grape shipments.
The Ministry of Public Health has urged people who have bought these grapes not to consume them, Gulf Times.
