Thirty four Hamad Medical Corporation physiotherapists received Dry Needling Certification which is gaining popularity as an adjunct to physical therapy techniques used to manage muscle pain and movement impairments. Chief of Physiotherapy at Rumailah Hospital Dr Noora Al Mudahka says a number of patients treated using physical therapy at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) are benefiting from the innovative therapy. "While the dry needling approach has been part of physical therapy for over thirty years, it has become increasingly popular in recent times as many practitioners and patients look for non-pharmacological pain management options.
