Hamad Medical Corporation announces Ramadan service timings

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced changes to the operating hours of a number of services for the Holy Month of Ramadan.

All emergency and inpatient services across HMC’s network of hospitals will continue to operate as normal, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

The changes to operating hours affect a number of services delivered remotely via the national COVID-19 helpline number: 16000

HMC Outpatient Department Clinics

HMC’s Outpatient Department clinics will operate from 9 am to 2 pm Sunday to Thursday.

HMC Urgent Consultation Service

Ramadan service hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am – 2 pm

Mental Health Helpline

Ramadan service hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday to Thursday

HMC Pharmacy Medication Home Delivery Service

Ramadan service hours: 9 am to 2 pm, Saturday to Thursday

How to access the service

  • Select 2 for Medication Delivery (please be reminded there is a QR30 fee for delivery payable by credit card)

Dental Hospital

All HMC Dental Hospital outpatient clinic timings will be 9 am to 2 pm and 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm Sunday to Thursday with the exception of orthodontics and pedodontics clinics which are 8 am to 4 pm Sunday to Thursday.

HMC Diabetes Hotline

  • Will operate seven days a week from 8 am to 5.30 pm
  • Call 16099 and select 4

The Diabetes Hotline is run by trained diabetes educators with a backup physician. People with diabetes also can send any diabetes-related concerns to the diabetes educators via email [email protected] or to the diabetes WhatsApp number 33495775 after hours and they will be answered within 24 hours.

Changes to Hamad Medical Corporation hospitals

Emergency Services

All Emergency Departments, Pediatric Emergency Departments, and inpatient services across HMC’s network of hospitals will continue to operate as normal, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Blood Donation

Old Blood Donor Center next to Hamad General Hospital: Sunday to Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm and 6 pm to 12 am. Saturday hours will be 6 pm to 12 am.

New Blood Donor Center opposite next to Surgical Specialty Center: 6 pm to 12 midnight, Sunday to Thursday (closed in the morning)

Both centers are closed Fridays.

HMC’s Nesma’ak Customer Service

Nesma’ak Customer Service helpline, 16060 will operate from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.
