This week and until 27th February 2018, visitors to Doha Festival City can visit the Kulluna Healthy Heart roadshow as part of its partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). From 10am to 10pm each day during the week, expert doctors will be on hand to offer screenings for any hidden heart issues as well as offer advice and guidance on how to improve and maintain a healthy heart.

The word “Kulluna”, in Arabic, means ‘all of us’ and it is being used for this campaign in the belief that everyone can take action to improve health, wellbeing and safety for themselves, their families and the community in general. The program is conducted in close cooperation with the different medical institutions and educational establishments under the umbrella of HMC and is coordinated by Hamad International Training Centre. Kulluna activities take many forms as its messages need to reach as wide an audience as possible.

As heart disease is one of the biggest health issues in the country, Doha Festival City, is supporting Qatar’s premier non-for-profit health care provider, Hamad Medical Corporation, as part of a drive to increase awareness of the disease and promote a healthy lifestyle. The pop-up clinic will offer tests for cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar levels and Basal Metabolic Index (BMI) free of charge.

Khalid Sam Hosn, General Manager, Doha Festival City said, “We are honoured to be supporting the Kulluna for a Healthy Heart campaign. We hope the pop-up clinic at Doha Festival City helps raise awareness around this worthy cause and also encourages as many people to take part in the complementary testing by providing an easy to access place in which to do it. At Doha Festival City we are invested in the wellbeing of our wider community and are always looking for more ways to promote a healthy way of life.”

Dr. Khalid Saifeldeen, Director of Hamad International Training Center, Hamad Medical Corporation and Chairman of Kulluna said, “As heart disease is a leading cause of death in Qatar, the Kulluna for a Healthy Heart campaign aims to promote cardiac health and prevent heart diseases. By providing simple health checks as well as interactive information about incorporating diet and exercise into daily life, Kulluna for a Healthy Heart also seeks to help people understand that making small changes can have a big effect on their heart health. We want to help people understand how heart disease develops and show that taking steps now can benefit them in years to come. We are grateful for the support of Doha Festival City in promoting a healthy lifestyle.”
