Diabetes Day by Queen is a four-hour long event that aims to promote nutrition and increase awareness surrounding type 2 diabetes risk. The event will also enable Queen Hospital to detect potential diabetic patients by offering free medical checkups. The event will be officially held at Queen booth in Villaggio mall on the 14th November 2018, from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Queen continues to invite the community to join the celebration & support the campaign by visiting Queen Hospital or Queen booth in Villaggio Mall near Paul. The event includes free blood pressure checks, sugar tests and even BMI checkups. The kids can also enjoy activities such as the photo booth session, coloring station, face painting and the balloon distribution.

“Queen Hospital has been collaborating with well-known private and governmental organizations in the country to continuously provide health awareness campaigns as our way of giving back to the community. This year we decided to do Diabetes Day activities to support this World Diabetes month. Deaths caused by diabetes have been increasing every year. Our mission is to promote diabetes care, prevention and a cure locally and internationally.” said Dr. Doaa Farid, Chief Operations Officer and Clinical Dietitian at Queen Hospital.
