Traffic on a section of the Temporary Truck Route (TTR) will be diverted tomorrow onwards for approximately one year.
The diversion is at about 2.3km south of the Dukhan Highway-TTR interchange, as shown in the map. During the period, road users travelling on both directions along the TTR will be diverted to a 4.6km long parallel road (as shown in the map). Ashghal expects that the road change should have minimal impact on transit time for vehicles using the TTR to travel towards Salwa Road or Lusail.
The diversion of this section of the TTR is required to facilitate construction of the mainline roadway on Ashghal’s New Orbital Highway and Truck Route project. (Source)
