His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Sulaiti, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, issued on 30 March 2022, a circular specifying the working hours during the blessed month of Ramadan for ministries, government agencies, and public bodies and institutions.
The circular stated that on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1443 AH, it was decided that the number of official working hours during the Holy Month for civil servants would be five hours a day, starting from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon.
Provided that work requirements are met, the employee be allowed to be late for a maximum of ten o'clock in the morning, provided that the employee completes the official working hours (five hours).
