In an attempt to give women new tools and means to battle the stress that they have to contend with in their day-to-day lives, How Women Work is offering the Recharge & Reconnect Retreat at Banana Island Resort on 29 - 31 Oct.

The aim of the weekend is to coach women on how to become more resilient to stress and enable a more balanced and connected life. In her blogpost on what to expect from a retreat, lead coach Carolin Zeitler recounts the story of three women who participate in a retreat, their issues and what they get out of their participation. She emphasises the energising effects of connection and being in the flow, effectively handling our fears and silencing the ever-nagging voice in our head.

Asked about her motivation for running the retreat, Carolin says "Stress is such a strong force in our lives that constantly disconnects us and gets us to neglect what is really important for the sake of all the urgent things that are flying at us all the time. Just think how many times you have said that 'you've been busy' as an excuse for not connecting with the people that really matter - just one example. The retreat is a time to step back and - with the guidance of an experienced coach - find ways to become more resilient and less affected by stress, to set your priorities consciously, rather than just trying to keep up with life and all the urgent tasks on your to-do list."

How Women Work is currently running a 'escape to the island' promotion for the retreat on their Facebook page to enable more women to participate. The promotion ends tomorrow, 14 October.

So if you're ready to escape to the island - here's your chance!
