WOMAN TODAY TRANSFORM - transforming wellness!

The Woman Today Transform programme was launched earlier this year, to create a greater awareness amongst Doha residents on how they can transform their health and wellbeing in a sustainable and holistic way in Qatar. The health transformation program supports the Qatar National Health Strategy vision 2011-2016. The Art of Abundant Living (AAL) and Woman Today partnered with a host of other associates to transform one lucky woman. Alyson Gilpin is a busy working mother of two who was chosen as our first transformee. When Alyson started the programme, she was on the borderline of morbid obesity, which put her at risk for multiple health conditions such as Type II Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke, which in turn had a negative effect on her overall well-being: emotional, mental and physical. Over a period of eight months, Alyson has worked closely with her health coach Nicole van Hattem, Founder and Wellness Director of AAL, and many other partners including Curves, Dados and Foot Care Centre to change the way she and her family work and live. The transformation program empowered Alyson with knowledge, skills and tools that will ensure she continues her wellness journey for life, and continues to inspire those around her. On November 16 at 6pm, Alyson was ready for her Grand Reveal. In front of a VIP guest list gathered at the Mango Tree, The Pearl Qatar, she revealed the results of months of hard work on her body, mind and spirit. Alyson is now almost four (4) dress sizes smaller, much happier, and with health indicators that are far better than they have been in many years. The Transform programme was not have been possible without the support of our many partners such as Mango Tree – venue partner, Blackberry and Vodafone - mobile partners, Curves - fitness partner, Foot Care Center – wellbeing partner, Virgin Megastore – supporting partner, Dados – beauty & spa partner, Dorothy Perkins – wardrobe partner, The Spa Resort – official health resort, and our stylist – Lynette Cowie – Doha’s image & Clothing Revivalist Art of Abundant Living conducts health transformation programs for individuals, groups and corporates.
