The popular messaging app owned by Facebook went down for many users in Qatar and around the world on Tuesday evening for both the app and WhatsApp Web. No official explanation regarding the cause is released as of yet. Users reported that they faced problems with the connection as well as sending or receiving messages.
According to the tracking website DownDetector, WhatsApp users started reporting the outage around 10:30 pm. Many users also commented that the service was restored around 11:30 pm.
