With the onset of October, some improvement in the weather can be expected from Tuesday, a weather forecaster said yesterday.

The weather was not too unpleasant yesterday but the temperature is likely to increase today due to a change in wind direction. Day temperatures have been forecast at between 37 and 42 degrees C today. The hottest places during the day will be Messaieed and Al Wakrah. In Doha, Abu Samra and Al Khor, the maximum temperature would likely be 41 degrees C, Dukhan 40 and Al Ruwais 37. Nightly temperatures will vary from 29 degrees (Messaieed and Al Wakrah) to 31 (Al Khor, Al Ruwais and Dukhan).

In Doha and Abu Samra, the mercury level at night will be 29 degrees, according to routine weather forecast released by the weather bureau for today. Humidity levels ranged between 45 and 80 percent yesterday. At 6pm yesterday, humidity was 45 percent, gradually rising and peaking at night at 80 at places. Humidity would likely be low today between 20 and 65 percent, the weather forecaster told this daily.
