Weather Bureau warns strong wind and poor visibility for today

Weather inshore until 6 p.m. on Thursday will be some clouds with blowing dust at some places, cold by night, warning of expected strong wind over most areas and poor visibility, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore, it will be partly cloudy with slight dust to dusty and chance of rain at north at times, warning of strong wind and high sea by afternoon, the report added.

Wind inshore will be southwesterly to southeasterly 10 to 20 knot at first, shifting after midday to northwesterly 17 to 27 knot reaching to 35 knot at some places at times.

Offshore, it will be southeasterly to southwesterly 11 to 21 knot, becoming northwesterly 22 to 30 knot by noon, reaching 40 knot.

Visibility will be 4 to 08/02 kilometers or less at some places at times. Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to five feet at times. Offshore, it will be 4 to 6 feet, rises from 8 to 10 feet by noon 15 feet at times.
