Poor visibility due to fog is once again expected in most parts of the country early today (17th Nov 2016), the Qatar Met department has said. Visibility is expected to drop to 1km or less during this period.
High humidity levels were reported yesterday along with thick fog and low visibility, with the Met department reiterating the need to drive safely in foggy conditions.
The detailed forecast for inshore areas today says misty/foggy conditions are expected in most places at first, followed by mild conditions during the day. It will be relatively cold by night.
Hazy to misty conditions are also likely in some offshore areas at first along with clouds. A minimum temperature of 14C is expected in Abu Samra and 16C in Al Khor today, while in Doha it will be relatively higher at 22C. The maximum, on the other hand, will be 30C in Doha.
Yesterday, a minimum temperature of 13C was recorded in Abu Samra, followed by 14C in Karana and 15C in Al Sheehaniya, Batna and other places. In the capital, a minimum of 19C was recorded in the Qatar University area. The maximum, meanwhile, was 32C at a number of places, including Al Rayyan, Al Khor and the Qatar University area. (Source)
