Wanasa Entertainment city introduces new rides, shows

New games, fun rides and shows are added to the Wanasa Entertainment City to attract visitors, particularly kids. Popeye the Sailor and three other cartoon characters acted on the stage, dancing with Olive. The famous Fruit Ninja game in tablets and iPads also attracted some children. An extreme ride called Booster has started just outside Doha Exhibition Centre (DEC). Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has announced new timing for entertainment city. It will now be open daily from 12 noon till midnight until 15th of next month. The Monte Carlo Circus will also continue presenting two shows every day at the Qatar Sports Club. The shows will be at 6.30pm to 8.45pm and at 9.30pm to 11.45pm. Opening of the Wanasa Entertainment City at the Doha Exhibition Centre was the highlight of this year’s Eid festival. The Eid festival is an initiative by Qatar Tourism authority to promote the country as a leading tourism destination. QTA recorded a rise in tourism figures across all categories during the second quarter of this year. The number of GCC visitors increased by 17% and international arrivals by 6.6% over the same period last year. Source:Qatar Chronilce
