Vodafone has warned the public about fraudulent text messages informing them that “they won a free trip to Egypt and $80,000 courtesy of Vodafone… to receive more information, call 0020166177006.” “Vodafone would like to advise the public that this text message is not generated by Vodafone. This is fraudulent behaviour generated from overseas designed to steal people’s personal details and money,” a press release said.
