Vodafone yesterday said it will soon rectify the problem being encountered by subscribers while making international calls. Vodafone Qatar customers are making international calls averaging 1 million minutes a day as part of their international calling promotion available to all Vodafone Qatar customers on Freedom and Red, said the company in a statement. “The promotion is so successful, that at times all of the Vodafone international calling lines are fully utilised,” it said. “Vodafone Qatar is in the process of addressing these issues by working very closely with ictQatar and other partners on increasing the amount of capacity as quickly as possible....” This may take up to 2 weeks to remedy, and so to compensate their customers, Vodafone Qatar is extending the international calling promotion for two weeks until November 14. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=September2009&file=Local_News200909221634.xml
