Vodafone Qatar yesterday announced it will launch its “World of Difference” programme in Qatar later this year. The World of Difference programme will pay the salaries of up to four people while they work on a charitable cause of their choice for one year. “The programme was first launched in New Zealand in 2003 and is now the flagship programme of the Vodafone Group Foundation and a number of Vodafone operating companies around the world,” said Jan Mottram, Human Resources Director of Vodafone Qatar. “It is about connecting passionate people to a local need. We will then help them to complete a project that will make a sustained difference to the lives of others. We are excited to be launching the programme here in Qatar and look forward to continuing to make a world of difference for all people in Qatar,” said Mottram. To date, more than 100 projects have been completed in over 30 countries, which have given positive impact to the lives of thousands of people around the world. Vodafone
