Vodafone Qatar have announced the launch of a partnership with Commercialbank to bring “new value added, innovative and premium services to the Qatar market,” according to officials.
“In inaugurating the new partnership with the country’s largest private sector bank, Vodafone Qatar announces that first time customers can join Vodafone by registering their Commercialbank account details,” said a spokesperson.
“This will allow customers the convenience of setting up a Vodafone Freedom account, and choosing one of the great value Vodafone Flexi plans.
“Freedom is the new, easy and convenient monthly way to pay for Vodafone’s plans and products.
“A Freedom account will get paid automatically from a customer’s Commercialbank account, so a customer never needs to worry about getting disconnected,” she added.
The spokesperson claimed that each flexi-plan will offer customers special value added services, and that Vodafone customers will receive 68% more talk time with the plan than with any other plan on the market.
Consumer business unit director Daniel Horan said: “Very quickly, our two companies have been able to deliver an innovative service to Commercialbank customers, giving them the chance to take advantage of the great offers that Vodafone and Commercialbank have put together today and what will come in the future.”
Commercialbank’s EGM and chief retail banking officer Raju Budhiraju said: “Connecting with Vodafone enables Commercialbank to offer our customers seamless registration and payment for the latest technology in telephony, further strengthening our commitment to bring our customers premium services.”
As part of the new partnership, Vodafone is offering all Commercialbank customers who sign up a free welcome pack and half price off their first Flexi plan – an offer which is valid until the end of September.
Customers can now join Vodafone using their Commercialbank accounts at one of the following Vodafone store locations: Landmark, Villagio, City Center Mall, Al Khor, LuLu Hypermarket or Mushereib Street.
