Vodafone Qatar will celebrate the Bahrain Grand Prix with special international calling rates to Bahrain for QR0.69 per minute until midnight of March 14.
“We promised Qatar to bring an unending series of surprising and exciting international calling promotions, and we’re delivering on that promise,” said Mike Button, Vodafone Qatar’s Product Manager for International Calling Services.
“Our customers can always rely on getting more and more value for international calling with Vodafone Qatar,” he said
Vodafone customers were informed via SMS that they will be able to call to Bahrain all weekend for QR0.69, with prices scheduled to return to their usual QR0.95 on at 00:01am on March 15.
“This is a great event for the region, and we’re sure our customers will appreciate being able to call to loved ones attending the event,” Button added.
The Bahrain Grand Prix is the first race of the 2010 season of the Formula One Championship.
The first Formula One Championship race to be held in the Middle East, the Grand Prix is taking place this weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Vodafone Qatar has been doing well in the Qatari market for international calling with a series of great promotions which significantly reduced the cost of international calling in Qatar since it was launched in July 2009. .
Vodafone vowed to make such promotions as more frequent as they can. “We’re having a lot of fun bringing our customers so much joy and delight, and we plan to keep it up throughout the month,” Button said.
