Vodafone Qatar has so far distributed 1,500 Iftar boxes in Qatar as part of Ramadan. Vodafone Qatar volunteers distribute the boxes containing dates and water, every Monday and Thursday at the Airport traffic signal and Qatar Decoration roundabout, starting from 5pm. The Vodafone keychain and colourful back-pack, also included in the Iftar boxes, have been appreciated by receivers, the company said. Vodafone?s Ramadan Iftar organised by Eid Charity has been hosting an Iftar for free for 150 people in need every day throughout Ramadan. The daily Iftar is being held at a tent in the Um al Islal Mohamed area next to the Mohamed Bin Kassem mosque. “As we near the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we hope that Vodafone?s charitable activities, services and special promotions have made a world of difference for all people in Qatar. We look forward to giving back a whole lot more next year,” said Michael Portz, Vodafone Qatar chief marketing officer. http://gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=314601&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
