Vodafone Qatar has doubled their international calling capacity to improve the experience for customers calling internationally. Most customers will have noticed a significant improvement. Demand for calling Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal remains very high. Vodafone Qatar is continuing to focus on improving the experience for calling these destinations. During the Eid Al Fitr break, Vodafone Qatar customers were making international calls averaging one million minutes a day as part of their extremely successful international calling promotion. This meant that at times all of the Vodafone international calling lines were fully utilised. “I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to double the international calling capacity earlier than we had targeted for. In order to keep up with the huge demand for international calling we will continue to monitor the call volumes and rollout additional capacity accordingly. A permanent solution to capacity constraints will be found only when Vodafone Qatar’s own international cable landing station begins operation,” said Grahame Maher, CEO, Vodafone Qatar. Customers are still enjoying Vodafone Qatar’s fantastic International calling promotion that allows them to call any country in the world for the cost of a local call. All Vodafone Qatar customers can enjoy this fantastic offer until the 14th November 2009, making it easier for them to keep in regular touch with their friends and family all over the world More than 150,000 customers have joined Vodafone Qatar since their public launch in July this year, and they have all been taking advantage of Vodafone’s great services and promotions. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=October2009&file=Local_News2009100521023.xml
