New play area for kids at Corniche soon! The playground, 1,100- square metre in size, for children aged 2 to 15 years will come up at the Corniche public park, next to Sheraton Hotel, in the next four months. It will be designed for wheelchair accessibility. Estimated to cost more than-QR2.5million, the project is an initiative of Vodafone Qatar and Doha Municipality. Funding for the public park came through Vodafone’s ‘Get Together’ local calling promotion launched during the Holy Month of Ramadan last year and which ran until March 31, 2011.
