Vodafone Qatar will help celebrate the Qatar National Day 2009 with a variety of activities, including a festival to be held at the city’s Aspire Park. In partnership with iloveQatar.net, Vodafone Qatar will be handing out Qatar flags, stickers and sparklers throughout Aspire Park tomorrow. The festival will feature a host of attractions such as a ‘bouncy castle’ for children and free Qatari food to include such notable delicacies as ‘harees and lamb with rice’, as well as boxes of chocolates. In addition the festival will feature Qatari music – including an exclusive track by up-and-coming Qatari singer Rayanna – and other great entertainment. “We recognise the importance of this very special day,” said Vodafone CEO Grahame Maher. “Qatar’s development has been a source of inspiration for the world, and we want to share the joy of all Qatar by inviting everyone in Qatar to take part in celebrating with us,” Maher said. The celebration will begin tomorrow at 10am and will continue until 6pm.
