Qatar Motor Show 2016 continues to thrill motor enthusiasts of all ages, as fans and families flock to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center to enjoy the biggest and most exciting annual automotive event in the region. Featuring over 40 international brands from leading luxury, sport and mid-range carmakers, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

On Thursday evening, Motorsport enthusiasts were treated to a surprise guest appearance by Mohamed Abu Issa, the Qatari quad bike legend, who thrilled fans with an impromptu stunt display at the show’s fan zone. The outdoor Fanzone completes visitors’ experience with daily motorbike stunts and displays from Red Bull athletes, Shadi Al Dhaheri and Brian Capper, as well as test drive opportunities.

A late, but very popular, addition to the show is the quintessential vehicle from Rolls Royce, the Phantom. The Phantom joins the Wraith and the new Rolls Royce Dawn, which was unveiled at the opening of Qatar Motor Show 2016.

There is also plenty for motorbike enthusiasts to enjoy, with international brands such as Harley Davidson, Ducati, Triumph and KTM on display. Fresh from the Motorbike Expo in Verona, Performance Technology joins QMS 2016 as a special guest exhibitor. With a background in motorsport, Performance Technology are the brains behind the Sport Production 300 Turbo supercharge for bikes, which allows increased engine efficiency without the need for mechanical modification. The team behind the Turbo includes FIM 250 world champion and Grand Prix motorcycle road racer, Mario Lega.

On Friday motorbike fans were also treated a special parade of Harley Davidson bikes as over 80 Harley Davidson motorbikes rumbled through the streets of Doha. Organized by the Qatar Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and Ladies of Harley, the Harley Davidson parade was one in a series of daily parades taking place around West Bay throughout the duration of the show. Members from Harley Owners Group also hosted games in the Fanzone for visitors to win goody bags.

In addition to the Fanzone, parades and showroom, visitors also have the opportunity to win exclusive on-the-spot prizes every hour, like priority access to the exhilarating Evotek Technology F1 Simulator on the showroom floor, exciting Qatar Motor Show goodies, or enter our ‘Capture the Moment’ competition for a chance to win a luxury weekend stay at the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel. For a chance to win, visitors and fans should follow the show via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat or YouTube, and use the official hashtag #QMS2016.

The show continues until Monday 1 February and is open to visitors from 13.00 – 22.00 Saturday (30 January), 16.00 – 22.00 Sunday (31January) and 13.00-20.00 on Monday (1 February). Visitors can pre-register for the free event via www.qatarmotorshow.gov.qa for fast-track entry.

Qatar Motor Show is the first in a slew of exhibitions to be hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority as part of its strategy to build a thriving business events industry and triple the number of business tourists. Later in February QTA will join hands once again with Elan and Fira de Barcelona to open the Doha Jewelry and Watch Exhibition 2016.
