Married women residents in Qatar with valid residency permit can now avail visa for their infants born overseas within three months after their birth on landing at the Doha International Airport. Babies entitled to residency visa on arrival can have a separate passport or their name can be entered in their mother’s or father’s passport, according to a Facebook announcement from Ministry of Interior. The original birth certificate will be needed to submit at the airport. The visa will be free. Women travelling with babies aged more than three months will need to apply prior for residency visa. If the visa of a child expires, there will be no fine for two months if it is abroad. The period is three months within Qatar. A fine of QR10 per day will be imposed after the grace period, according to the Ministry. Source:Qatar Chronicle
