The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change announced in a tweet the removal of a violating winter camp in Al Reem Reserve by inspectors of the Natural Reserves Department.

This comes in line with the MOECC's winter camp waste removal campaign where comprehensive inspection tours are being carried out around Qatar.

Legal action was taken against the owner of the winter camp for non-compliance with the deadline set for winter camp waste removal and building bricks in the area, which is not allowed. Due to this, the owner will now be blacklisted and a deduction was made to the security deposit.

The ministry further reminds all camp owners to comply with the cleaning of winter camps as the inspection campaigns are ongoing until all have been removed.
