Lieutenant Abdul Mohsen Al Ruwaili of the General Directorate of Traffic mentioned to Al Rayyan TV during an interview that all vehicles that are expected to renew their Istimara (registration) are exempted from reporting to a FAHES centre for technical inspection.
Due to the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, and for the betterment of its customers, it was agreed, in coordination with the Traffic Department that the FAHES vehicle registration could be done using the WOQOD Mobile App effective from Sunday 22 March 2020, as tweeted by WOQOD.
Speaking to Al Rayan TV Channel yesterday, Lieutenant Abdul Mohsen Al Ruwaili, officer at the Awareness Department said that all vehicles will be exempted from technical inspection as of March 22 (next Sunday) in order to benefit from online services.
Presently, the vehicles will be exempted from inspection until further notice. The registered mobile number will receive a message instructing the driver to proceed with the renewal of registration. Renew the insurance and login to Metrash2 and have the registration certificate renewed.
