Doha • VCUQatar recently hosted a Leadership Awards Night to recognize all students who participate in student clubs, activities and workshops. "In the 'Leadership Awards Night', we celebrated the student involvement, commitment and achievements. Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned inspires us to create an atmosphere of empowerment and support for students," said Hissa Al Garni, VCUQatar Student Activities Coordinator. The categories and winners of 'Leadership Awards 2008' were: Advisor of the Year - Mahmoud Abdulaziz; Coach of the Year - Seth Ganz and Jesse Ulmer; Quiet Influence of the Year - Maha Adheir; Outstanding Leader of the Year - Sara Mustafawi; Emerging Leader Of the Year - Khaoula Al Asmakh; Best Activity of the Year - Miriam Greiss; Student Organization - Isadora and Al Dar Club; and Work Study Students of the Year - Cynthia Batir and Anfal Berair. The awards presented to students were designed by graphic design student Anahita Solaimani.
