Unique, interesting products on show at Media Expo

Some unique and interesting products are showcased at the second Media, Advertising and Printing Technology Exhibition (Media Expo Qatar 2012) which concludes today at the Doha Exhibition Centre. Dubai-based Dynagraph is exhibiting the HP Flatbed FB 700, an industrial printer capable of reproducing colourful images on the largest sheets and on a wide range of media. “Apart from paper, it can print on any type of media such as wood, stone, acrylic, glass, corrugated plastic and cloth with durability up to three years,” said Sevag Tanielian, Sales Executive of Dynagraph with over 40 years of experience in graphic arts industry. The huge printer which can print on any media at a width of 2.5m and unlimited length attracts many visitors to the expo with its live printing from rigid to flexible media, from thick, heavy to long materials. “Most of our clients who purchase this machine are involved in marketing display system,” he added of the printer, which costs at around $150,000. Another interesting stall is the one by Mission Media Electronics which manufactures all types of USB flash drive. “We are based in Dubai but we recently had Media Today as our distributor here in Qatar. We manufacture USB flash drives in any shape, design and logo according to the requirements of our customers,” said a company official. The company has already manufactured in their Dubai factory hundreds of various types of USB flash drives for various companies as promotional gift items made from different materials such as rubber and metal. Many visitors are also thronging the Al Jazeera Shop which sells unique merchandise items bearing the renowned TV satellite channel’s logo. According to a staff of the shop, the merchandise items are in demand as Al Jazeera is already becoming a brand. In fact, Al Jazeera has already put up shops at the Villaggio Mall and the Doha International Airport Duty Free in addition to their shop at network’s HR building selling various products. The shop sells a wide array of Al Jazeera merchandise from cufflinks, pens and mobile phone cases to shirts, caps and bags but the most in-demand products on sale at the stall are receivers which are sold at a discounted price of QR275 from the normal price of QR700. Highlights of the second day of the three-day expo included the honouring ceremony of participating companies, Symposium on Public Relations and Media and the second round of the exciting Sudoku competition.
