UNDERWATER CABLE LEADS TO DISRUPTION OF INTERNATIONAL SERVICES - All Services are now fully restored - Doha, Qatar, 27 September 2011: Vodafone announced that there was a failure in an underwater cable on Monday 26 September affecting all of its international services. This cable connects GCC countries to international services and amongst other operators in the region, Vodafone Qatar was affected by the disruption. The outage, which started at 3pm and continued for about 2 hours, was rectified with the help of Vodafone engineers and Vodafone partners working together to re-establish connectivity as quickly as possible. “We apologise to all customers for the disruption in service that they may have experienced as a result of this highly unusual occurrence. Thank you for your understanding during this time, and our service is now fully restored” said John Saad, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Qatar ILQ News
