The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested two Asians who stole dresses and electrical appliances from a store in the Industrial Area. They were arrested following a tip-off by a secret source about an Asian man possessing a quantity of new clothing which seemed to be stolen. Once the CID personnel confirmed the validity of the information they obtained an arrest and inspection warrant from the public prosecution. The CID team arrested the Asian and the raid at his accommodation led to the seizure of a quantity of new dresses. During interrogation, the accused confessed that it belonged to a compatriot. During the raid at the other person’s room, the CID team found two bags filled with new dresses, one bag with electrical appliances and a fourth bag containing a new TV set. The second accused confessed that the materials were stolen from a store in the Industrial Area in collaboration with the first accused. The store owner, who had reported the theft to the police some days ago, identified the materials and the suspects were transferred to the Industrial Area police station.
