Twitteratis in Qatar mourn the death of Qatari man who drowned in Al Thakira -Al Sharq

Since yesterday, the hashtag #محمد_بوهزاع (#MuhammadBuHaza) has been trending on Twitter after a Qatari named Muhammad Buhaza was lost in the sea near the Thakira Mangroves. Today, the hashtag #محمد_بوهزاع has turned into one of mourning, after Buhaza's body was found in the water, according to Al-Sharq.

"There is no power but from God.
Oh Allah, please put him in the same degree as martyrs and good people.
May Allah grant his family patience to bear this loss."

According to Buhaza's nephew, his Uncle was on a fishing trip by himself, something he had done many times before. He said his Uncle began his boat ride at about 1 pm on 25 January 2021 in the Thakira Sea, but in the evening, at about 6:15 pm, his boat was found in the Arada area less than a kilometre away from where he started. His personal belongings were found in the boat, but there was no sign of him, after which a missing person's report was filed, according to another Al-Sharq report.

The Coast Guards sent out a search and rescue party was sent out to the area and they searched for Buhaza till sunrise this morning. Just before 8 am, his family received word that Buhaza's body had been found in the water.

"God bless Muhammad BuhazaAnd accept him of the martyrs, Ameen.
Our condolences to his family."

People who knew him said he was a generous man who was loved by all. People from the Qatari media and activists have been tweeting about his loss at sea and now his death.

The funeral will take place this afternoon after the Asar prayers at the Mesaimeer Graveyard, where he will be laid to rest.
