Trans4 Expo receives global freight forwarders’ association support

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) has announced its support for the Qatar International Exhibition for Transport, Logistics and Railways (Trans4) taking place from October 17-19 at the Doha Exhibition Centre. Trans4 Expo is the first and only exhibition in Qatar showcasing the latest products, technologies and solutions featuring four sectors of activity: railways, shipping, freight and logistics. The expo is being organised under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani and supported by the general secretariat of the GCC, the Federation of GCC Chambers, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Italian Industry and Commerce Office (IICUAE). Founded in Vienna in 1926, The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) has consultative status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). FIATA, a non-governmental organisation, represents an industry covering approximately 40,000 forwarding and logistics firms, also known as the “Architects of Transport”, employing around 8mn- 10mn people in 150 countries. FIATA is recognised as representing the freight forwarding industry by many other governmental organisations, governmental authorities and private international organisations in the field of transport.
