It might just be a coincidence but an increasing number of trailers are involved in what seem to be avoidable accidents this summer. A trailer carrying a container met a serious accident on the C Ring Road yesterday. The driver of the lorry was injured and rushed for emergency medical care. This is the third time this month that a trailer with a container has been involved in a serious road mishap. The traffic police official who is investigating the incident told this newspaper that since the matter was still under probe, he could not give details. A senior traffic official, when asked why so many trailers had been involved in accidents this month, cited lop-sided weight as the major reason. He said trailers loaded things without considering the vehicle’s balance.
