The contract was signed by MoI Logistics Department assistant director Brigadier Abdullah Saad al-Kharji and Telco director KM Varghese. Brigadier al-Kharji said that the contract is part of MoI department development plans and to support the Traffic Department in controlling traffic movement and ensuring traffic safety. Head of the Traffic Department’s Traffic Safety and Planning Section, Brigadier Mohammed Marafiya, said that as per the contract, the company “will provide radars that will be fixed in highways and internal roads”. “They will also provide surveillance cameras to be used in traffic intersections where no camera is available at present.
