The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will implement a traffic diversion on Al Maahed Street and Asim Bin Thabit Street in New Salata area, near Al Zaman Mosque and Tariq Bin Ziyad Secondary School for Boys.
The diversion will start tomorrow and will last three months, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.
During diversion, Asim Bin Thabit Street will be partially closed. One lane will remain open to traffic towards Al Maahed Street (eastbound). Westbound traffic from Al Maahed Street towards Asim Bin Thabit Street will be closed. Intersection between Asim Bin Thabit Street and Wajbat Salman Street will be closed.
Traffic will be diverted to Al Maahed Street. Intersection between Asim Bin Thabit Street and Al Salama Street will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to Al Sena Street.
Traffic on both directions of Al Maahed Street will be maintained. Parking along both sides of the street will be prohibited.
The diversion is required to implement works as part of the Roads and Infrastructure of New Slata Project.
Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the diversion. It has urged road users to abide by speed limits and follow the signs for their and others’ safety. (Source)
