Traffic Campaign to Stop Violations by Car Dealers

The Inspection & Control Unit of Traffic Department and Al Rayyan Municipality launched a campaign to put an end to violations with the practice of exhibiting cars outside showrooms, which causes for traffic congestion and badly affects the nearby shops.

The campaign started from the showrooms on Salwa Road which use the footpaths and side roads for parking their vehicles which are displayed for sale. The authority emphasized that it is violation of the law and transgression on the rights of others. The officials campaigned to educate the showroom dealers that this practice would cause to go through legal actions including shutting down the showrooms from one month to three months, depending on the extent of the offense.


The campaign was led by the officials including head of the traffic Inspection and Control Department Maj. Saif al Mohannadi, , Traffic officer Lt. Ahmad Jassim Al Mohaiza, and Head of the General Control Section of Al-Rayyan Municipality Bakhit Al Marri.

The officials underscored that the campaign will be intensified to eliminate this practice that breaches the right of others and pointed that the public can contract the traffic department or send photos through Metrash2 in case any violations are noticed.
