A cyclone called Shaheen hit Oman yesterday and caused the halting of flights to and from Muscat with people living near the coastal areas told to evacuate the area to avoid the cyclone. Heavy rains, floods and strong winds have been seen in Muscat and the Al Batinah area causing damage in the areas.
There is no report that Cyclone Shaheen would come to Qatar.
